Toggled experience settings in the Remote Desktop Connection icon to favour performance (Left desktop composition, font smoothing and visual styles enabled - this also improved performance slightly). Used Firefox instead of Google Chrome (Did improve performance slightly) Confirm browsers are up to date and remove extensions and add-ins. When zooming in it stutters significantly. The performance when using Google Maps has never been great but it has degraded significantly over the past few months.

They use a thin client to connect to the RDS. This is handled primarily by a single member of staff. A client of ours works entirely in a remote desktop server (Server 2019) which is hosted in Azure.Ī new client they provide services to contractually requires them to use Google Maps which they use for route planning and screenshot capture.
